Dean's Easter Message
From Fr Ken Howell, Dean, Brisbane
Central Deanery
The
celebration of Easter, the greatest festival of the Christian
calendar, draws us once again to celebrate that which is at the
heart of Christian life. We welcome you to this marvellous time of
faith and family, of reflection and joy. The Easter event is not
just about one day, albeit a vital day when Christ conquered death.
Easter day is always a promise that each and every day carries with
it the pledge that hope and life will always triumph over pain,
sorrow and death. Yes, Christ is risen! This Easter we welcome your
connecting with this Parish within the Brisbane Central Deanery.
Each community is committed to welcoming you at each celebration of
Mass throughout the year in your local area. May you and your family
be richly blessed with Easter joy and life.
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is an
approach to the faith formation of both children and adults in which
the religious values of childhood predominate. It is based on the
belief that God and the child are in relationship, and that there is
a deep bond between them that produces in the child a desire to draw
near to God. [More]
