Our deanery (one of thirteen deaneries in the Archdiocese) is made up of 8 parishes:  Gympie, Maryborough, Childers, Hervey Bay, Gayndah , Murgon, Nanango and Kingaroy.   Our dean is Fr Pat Cassidy,

administrator of Kingaroy/Nanango.

Since the Synod in 2003, the Archbishop has asked that “the basic clustering of parishes in the Archdiocese be in deaneries …..for purposes of mutual support, joint planning of some elements of pastoral life and mission ,and sharing of resources.” The Archdiocese has further supported this initiative by allocating considerable funding for deaneries over the next few years, in order to ensure that the vision and nine priorities from the Synod are implemented.

NORTH COUNTRY DEANERY PASTORAL COUNCIL

We are fortunate in the North Country Deanery that we have enjoyed for many years, shared  support and collaboration among our parishes.  We have built on this solid foundation, by forming, in 2004,  a Deanery Pastoral Council. DPC representatives in your parish  would welcome any suggestions  or comments you wish to share with the rest of the deanery.

The next Deanery Pastoral Council will be on Saturday, in . Please click here to send an email to Deanery Pastoral Council: c/- secretary. ** To e-mail, please click here **
