Feast Day of Our Lady of Lourdes
In less than two weeks we will celebrate the Parish Feast Day of Our Lady of Lourdes Sunnybank Parish. Bishop Joseph Oudeman will be the main celebrant of the Mass. The evening begins with the Rosary at 7 pm and Mass will begin at 7:30pm.

The Rosary for the Feast Day will be prayed at 7 pm while the children from Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School act out, in tableau form, the decades of the Rosary. You are invited to bring a flower to the Feast Day which you will be asked to place in front of Our Lady‟s statue at the end of the Rosary.

I was most impressed at the Feast Day Mass last year as each group and committee were asked to stand to show their involvement in the Parish. We will follow the same procedure this year. You are invited to bring a plate of finger food which will be shared in the Paloma Centre after Mass.

Seniors Mass
Our first Seniors Mass for the year will be celebrated on Friday 3rd February at 10am followed by morning tea in the Paloma Reception Centre.

Senior Parishioners this Mass is especially for you! All are welcome, from those just retired to the most senior members of our Parish. A special invitation is extended to those new to the Parish and to all parishioners of Our Lady of Fatima. Extend the invitation to anyone you know who "fits the bill". The back grassed area will be open for easy parking. Please come along and enjoy a lovely time. Information: Call Hilary at Parish Office 3345 3766. Looking forward to seeing you there.

Singles and Solos
Morning tea on Sunday 5th February, 2012 at The Coffee Club in the Sunnybank Hills Shoppingtown, Corner of Calam and Compton Roads, Sunnybank Hills at 10:45 am. This is a group where single and solo persons of middle-age meet every 1st Sunday of the month. Please contact Mary H. on 3344 2204.

Challenge & Conquest Clubs
CHALLENGE and CONQUEST are clubs in our deanery for youth in grade 6-12. These clubs are a great way for youth to interact by learning about their faith and having a ton of fun at the same time. Activities include ice skating, movie nights, Laser Force, Theme park trips and many more! We are holding an information night for parents and youth wanting to find out more . Also if you are already a member come along to register you son or daughter.

Our Lady of Fatima School is hosting its annual Welcome Family BBQ on Friday 3 February from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at Our Lady of Fatima Primary School The Principal, Mr Warren Fields, warmly invites you to join him in meeting the teaching staff and families of 2012 whilst enjoying a BBQ sponsored by IGA Acacia Ridge. Parish Friendship Group
Our first meeting for 2012 will be on the 8th February at 9.30 am in the Paloma Centre. We might even have a few surprise visitors... Come along and join us for a lovely chat to catch up with friends, and enjoy a cuppa.

Invitation to celebrate the Chinese New Year
Our Parish will celebrate the Chinese New Year with a Pot-Luck Buffet on Sunday 5th February after the 10.30 am Mass, at the Jacaranda Room, Paloma Centre. Please bring a plate of your favourite food to share. Program will include a ribbon dance to the song “Pretty Woman”, popular traditional Chinese melodies and tai chi dance exercises performed by members of the Taiwan Women’s League. There will also be demonstrations of some games from Singapore and Australia. Come along with your friends and family for a joyous time together, welcoming in the auspicious Year of the Dragon.
